IE7 Vista opens documents very slow

hiya

 

please have a look at the attached screenshot. whenever i try to open doc/xls/ppt (or the newer ones docx, xlsx, pptx) from the internet, i get the dialog prompt to open or save the document. when i chose open, another dialog opens (screenshot). this dialog stays open for around 20-30 seconds before the document finally opens.

 

when i click on abbrechen (cancel), the documents opens immediately.

 

my questions are, why do i get this strange dialog? why does it take so long to open the documents? and finally, whats the use of this?

 

with firefox everything works fine.

 

i have nod32 - i disabled it tho and the results were the same. excessive waiting times. i also made a post on the ESET board to check this issue. noone there believes in nod32 causing this problem.

 

i also have office 2007 standard installed.
