scanpst funktioniert nur bedingt??

Hi

 

Habe pst Datei eines Kunden, die 500MB gross ist und unlesbar. Nach scanpst habe ich dieselbe Grösse, jedoch nur 1 Ordner und 2 Dateien ?!? Wenn ich die ursprüngliche Datei zippe, ist Sie noch 500K gross (faktor 1000 mal kleiner).

 

Ich weiss nicht, was ich noch probieren soll, aber ich denke, die Datei ist absolut unbrauchbar und nicht reparierbar.

 

Wenn jemand ein ähnliches Problem hatte, bin ich natürlich dankbar für seine Infos..

Hi !

So wie die PST da original vorliegt, ist sie ziemlich unbrauchbar.

 

Daß Du sie um den Faktor 1000 zippen konntest, heißt nur, daß früher mal sehr viele e-mails gelöscht wurden - diese werden in dieser Aktion nicht physisch gelöscht, sondern mit Füllbytes überschrieben. Dein Kunde hat seine PST nie komprimiert.

 

Da 500 MB ´ne ganze Menge ist, ist da mal was schief gegangen.

Hast Du mal das Laufwerk geprüft (chkdsk,scandisk usw.) ?

Du hast nicht geschrieben, um welches OS es geht und um welches Dateisystem !

Hallo Zuschauer

 

Das OS ist Win2000 mit NTFS Filesystem. Checkdisk und Scandisk wurden vermutlich noch nie gemacht, ich werde das überprüfen. Das wird die Mails jedoch auch nicht zurückbringen, damit hat sich der Kunde auch bereits abgefunden.
