BIOS Upgraed

Hallo zusammen.

 

Aufgrund einer Fehlfunktion möchte ich das BIOS meiner Zotac ZBOX CI320 nano aktualisieren.

 

In der beigefügten Text-Datei der BIOS Upgrade Programmes finde ich folgende Anleitung.

 

Da ich aber Linux User bin und so gut wie nie auf Windows unterwegs und es die Utility nur für Windows gibt, benötige ich Eure ehrenwerte Hilfe.

 

Ich habe direkt Probleme mit Punkt 1. Einen USB Stick habe ich zur Hand. Wie erstelle ich einen Bootable USB Stick und wo bekomme ich das DOS image her?

Bin auf der Arbeit und mir steht ein Windows 7 Rechner zur Verfügung.

Procedures for BIOS update  (with ME / TXE Code Update) :
(Please read all the instructions carefully as below,  before starting the BIOS update)


[1] Prepare a Bootable USB Flash Drive containing DOS image, and decompress all files inside this ZIP file to the root of the Bootable USB Flash Drive

[2] Plug the Bootable USB Flash Drive to a USB2.0 Port on the target PC

[3] Startup the target PC, press <Del> key to enter CMOS Setup

[4] Under the [boot] options, change the [boot Mode] to "Legacy Only", change the [OS Selection] to "Windows 7", Save Changes and Exit to reboot the PC

[5] Press <Del> key to enter CMOS Setup

[6] Under the [save & Exit] options, scroll to the [Reset System with ME disable Mode], press <Enter>, the PC will reboot immediately

[7] At the POST screen, press [F8] to bring up the Boot Priority Menu, select the USB Flash Drive to boot to

[8] The USB Flash Drive will be booted (to DOS mode)

[9] Execute the Batch file (Batch.bat), wait for the BIOS writing to complete (may take a few minutes !!!)

[10] Power down the PC, remove the USB Flash Drive

[11] Restart the PC, Press <Del> key to enter CMOS Setup, check the new BIOS (with new built date and project version number) is in place

[12] Under the [boot] options, restore the [boot Mode / OS Selection] to the previous settings, to match with the OS content on the HDD/SSD

* If the OS content on the HDD/SSD is UEFI, set the [boot Option # 1] to "Windows Boot Manager"
* If the OS content on the HDD/SSD is Legacy, set the [boot Option # 1] to the name of the HDD/SSD

[13] Save Changes and Exit to reboot Windows
